Where are photos stored?

EU servers — Paris region (AWS eu-west-3). Uploaded photos do not leave the European Union.

Are photos used to train AI models?

No. Neither by us nor by our AI inference partners — they are contractually barred from using your images for training.

When are photos deleted?

When you delete your account, all uploaded photos are removed immediately and irrevocably. No soft-delete, no waiting period.

What is shared with third parties?

Only what is needed to run the service: payment processing, AI inference for image generation, cloud infrastructure hosting. No advertising partners. No data sale.

What we don't do with your images

No public indexing of user uploads. No cross-user visibility. No ML training on user uploads. No sharing with advertisers.

We don't generate talking-head video avatars.

For AI presenters with lip-sync (marketing videos, tutorials, corporate training), the category is HeyGen, Synthesia, VEED. TaleAtelier produces static images, not videos.

We don't generate 3D rigged avatars for VTubing or VRChat.

For Live2D rigs, VRChat avatars, or metaverse 3D models, the category is Live2D Cubism, VRoid Studio, Ready Player Me. TaleAtelier produces PNG images.

We don't license copyrighted characters.

We generate stylistic approximations (e.g. Ghibli-style, Disney-style aesthetics), not specific copyrighted characters. For commercial use of a licensed character, you need permission from the rights holder.

We're not a general design tool ecosystem.

For all-purpose design (posters, presentations, social media graphics), Canva or Adobe Express are broader. TaleAtelier is a focused AI comic and avatar generator.

Character consistency across multiple panels

One of the harder technical problems in AI image generation. Most tools generate each image independently, so the same character looks different across panels. TaleAtelier locks a character's identity across a full comic — same face, same clothes, recognizable across every page.

Locale-native content, not machine translation

TaleAtelier ships in 19 UI languages. For DE, PT, ES, FR, JA, KO, and ID we author separate content pages — not translations. A German user searching in German finds German-native content written for German search patterns and cultural context.

Style breadth without style compromise

19 art styles including manga, anime, manhwa, webtoon, superhero, cartoon, karikatur, watercolor, oil painting, pencil sketch, comic book, chibi, line art, pixel art. Each style is a distinct visual language, not a filter applied on top of a generic model.
